The reason I want this is, is when you are planning out your forum your start by setting up the sections to see how they look, you then add in child categories and so on.

It was not impossible to set my forum up but it would of been a little easier with visible sections.

I could not find a setting or documentation to show empty sections.

I have just check with the Crypsisb3 template and you are correct, empty categories do show.

I am using Blue Eagle v1.0.2 ( i am sure it is v1.0.3 but labelled wrong) with Joomla 3.5.1

I am Using the prestashop section for demo purposes

Blue Eagle Template with a sub-category under prestashop section

Blue Eagle Template without a sub-category publish under prestashop section - The section is not publish

crypsisb3 template - prestashop section with no sub category publish but the presashop section is present.

Thanks
