Solved Error You have entered information to an obsolete form from another session...

I have been using Kunena for a while now and just recently I have an issue. I can pay a developer to have it fixed but was hoping I could find a solution here.

The issue is when anyone including admins click edit, we always get an error and are not able to edit it. This is the error.

Error

You have entered information to an obsolete form from another session. Please verify that the user account is yours and please try again

Also sometimes now when people reply or quote it takes them to the wrong thread. I am not sure if they are related but they started around the same time.

I made a staging copy of our site and tried to clear the sessions table but that did not fix it.

Any advise will be much appreciated.

If I update I will lose some custom work I had done a while back. I paid a developer to make it where if someone use @username@ it gives them a notice and link to post in Jomsocial notifications.

Also I don't see Kunena3.0.8 in downloads just Kunena3.0.6. I can try it on the staged version of our site to see if that fixes it.

As we all know, this problem has nothing to do with a particular version of Kunena or the Kunena menu.

The problem is related to Joomla session control and to session cookies. If you search the internet for "You have entered information to an obsolete form from another session" you will find information that explains how this problem occurs together with tips to help you resolve the problem.

In case people are wondering where to find K 3.0.8 (because the direct link has been removed from the download page) it is here: github.com/Kunena/Kunena-Forum/releases/...3.0.8_2015-04-05.zip

K 3.0.8 will not fix this problem (any more than K 4.0.4 will fix this problem); rebuilding your Joomla and Kunena menus will also not fix this problem.

Yes I searched before posting. I fixed it by unpublishing a new plugin from Hikashop like I said. Not sure why it caused the issue but it does.
