Its looking for missing data:

like
userReadOrphaned = Looks if the topic still exists, you will get this issue, when you permadelete topics
userReadWrongCategory = Looks if the category still excists
userTopicOrphaned = Looks if the topic still exists
channelOrphaned = categories that have a missing channels.

You can delete the items, But backup before. Its removing data.

what will happen with FIX ISSUES ?

The fix button remove orphaned data in the database and/or also messages without sections/categories. Perhaps it fixes the error from this topic. www.kunena.org/forum/general-questions-a...problem-with-a-topic
But it is important, to create a backup before you use the fix button!

I think, it's not possible to check it before. You can compare the database with a software such as "Meld" before and after click on Fix button. Then you can see what has been removed.

Its fine that this tool exists to fix these issues but it makes more sense and lends to the idea of this actually being a tool if there is a more elegant way to discover why it happened in the first place. Seriously, what is the point of knowing there is a test that identifies a problem if nothing exists to properly troubleshoot it and find out why it happens in the first place? This is NOT a tool, it is a band-aid and is completely useless! All it does is shows this forum extension has issues that have not been resolved and based on the answer by support here it is proof nothing is going to be done to fix the problem! Very sad if you ask me!
