Thank you.
So am I correct in thinking that I cannot simply 'un-publish' the Kunena menu and replace it with a Protostar template one?

What this means is that you can design your own template for Kunena (if you know how to do it) and style the menu in whatever way you would like.

Yes, you can use the Protostar menu instead of the tabs.So am I correct in thinking that I cannot simply 'un-publish' the Kunena menu and replace it with a Protostar template one?
1. go in backend to "Kunena > Templates > Blue Eagle" and set "Display Kunena Menu = No"
2. go to the main (top) menu and create new menu items for "Index, Recent Topics, etc.. (Parent Item is Forum). Then you have a drop down menu.
Hint: It must be the menu type "Menu Item Alias" !

I have written a tutorial on how you can easily do this with CSS. See Transform the Kunena Blue Eagle menu from “tabs” to “nav pills” .buzz50 wrote: How can I change the tabbed menu in Kunena ... from tabbed to nav-pills?
Sorry. The Kunena menu doesn't support drop-down menus.buzz50 wrote: I would like to have drop down menus.
