Kunena 6.3.0 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised third-party extensions (e.g. JomSocial, Community Builder, etc.) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

This category may also contain a few topics relating to K 1.6 that may have been moved here possibly by mistake.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural differences between K 1.6 and K 1.7, the ideas in these topics may not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Question CB Facebook Connect not working

I have a problem that the Kunena latest posts module stops the Community Builder Facebook Connect plugin from working.
There are no javascript errors - simply nothing happens when you click on the CB Facebook Connect button. The problem goes away if I disable the Kunena latest posts module which is showing on the same page.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I am using CB 1.2.2 and Kunena 1.5.6

I wish this was figured out too! Unfortunately, it's a bit over my head...

JS and CB facebook connect plugins are temperamental and ajax/javascript errors of any kind are hard to diagnose because the error reporting is poor and usually all you get is a hanging blank window.

I'm building a large-scale joomla/CB/Kunena community site (almost finished!) and last week I was absolutely plagued with facebook connect issues -- mostly blank windows, but also data tranfer issues, end-user confusion with what was going on, etc.

After hours of debugging, wading through code, squinting at firebug, and scouring 3 different forums, I turned in desperation to third party JFB-Connect ( www.sourcecoast.com/extensions/jfbconnect/?amigosid=131 ), which I installed thinking "well it has a money back guarantee, so if the errors persist, I can just get my money back".

Wow! It works great and I've tested it in every scenario I can think of - No Errors or hanging windows anymore! Plus it has user-mapping, adjustable redirect parameters, site->fb posting, livestream integration, JS/CB/Kunena/K2 integration, and you can add the 'login with facebook' button in various/multiple locations. I love this extension!
