The information given in this category is intended to guide users who want to use uddeIM with Kunena and, mostly, was written by Kunena users. The information here is not necessarily accurate, up-to-date nor is it intended to replace the support given by the developers of uddeIM.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Greetings
I followed the kunena and uddeim integration tutorial here

However I am unable to reproduce the message box in the kunena profile page. I only get a single link.

Am I doing something wrong?
I contacted uddeim support and they said it seems to be a kunena issue

Thank you

Hello,

That's a very old tutorial, actually in Kunena 3.0.x you have just a simple link to your UddeIm inbox.

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

OK,
I had the same problem... enabled the UddeIM-plugin ...tried for hours to make the icons appear. Checked every setting everywhere. Then I noticed somewhere on the internet someone mentioning that you have to install the UddeIM plugin. How? But it was already there, wasn't it? Look! There it is: part of the KUnena-plugins ! But then I realized the importance of that remark. It's all okay installing and configuring Kunena and enabling the UddeIM Kunena-plugin, but YOU STILL HAVE TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE UDDEIM JOOMLA PLUGIN !!!!!!!! And then all was well... Yes indeed sir or lady, you need the UddeIM Kunena plugin and also the Joomla Plugin, they work together ! So easy solution, and so stupid simple at the same time.
