Soundcloud Embed was created by quark
Hi guys and girls.
Loving the Kuena project and where its heading.

I notice there's so much support for embedding various video extensions.
Now I've searched the forum high and low and maybe I am missing the complete obvious but is there anyway to embed the Soundcloud widget into Kuena?
If I need to edit css or php I am cool to go.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I don't know Soundcloud widget but maybe you will find some examples on the site of this thing or elsewhere, how to integrate it.

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Thanks for the replies.

Cerberus glad to hear you are working on it as the Soundcloud widget is probably the most popular way of embedding mp3 into a forum.

Keeping fingers crossed you get the time.

Cheers. :cheer:

I don't know, I don't need any widgets to embed and play a .MP3 file, as the following example shows:
This demo was constructed, natively, with Kunena BBcode without any widgets:
Code:
[video height=44]http://www.mfiles.co.uk/mp3-downloads/it-came-upon.mp3[/video]
Is there something wrong with the simple way that I've done this? :S

yes sadly soundcloud does not work like a simple MP3 file it give the user a whole interface and commenting system as well, i had a look at it and tbh im very impressed with it ( not something my site needs BUT a music site would benefit from it )

yer i have almost got it but, trying to get it to only embed the one file i want and not just give me a random file everytime page is refreshed, also working on it so if you paste a soundcloud link it is auto embeded so no need for bbcode tags :)

sozzled, there's nothing wrong with your example as such although straight away it was asking for me to install a missing plugin. I really can't remember having to do that with Soundcloud.? Not a biggy but it could put a few people off, you know if they have to jump through a couple of loops the moment could so easily pass and I obviously don't want that.

As Cerberus says the soundcloud widget offers many features that encourage feedback right within the widget itself. Soundcloud looks pretty good too showing the waveform which is going to be useful for my forthcoming site.

Cerberus, thanks for looking into the matter ... I'd do it myself if I understood coding but sadly my head starts to explode the moment I look at a few lines

I'll keep a close on on this thread just in case you find a solution. I am sure it would become quite popular.
cheers.
